WE ARE NO LONGER ACCEPTING NEW CSA MEMBERS

Contents from an Abundant Table summer CSA box: Swiss chard, strawberries, white nectaries, basil, yellow onion, green beans, radishes, Nantes carrots, pozzano tomatoes, heirloom tomatoes, clementine tomatoes, and egg add-ons.

The Abundant Table CSA

We offer an almost-year-round CSA, taking a break in December, and include only pesticide-free produce with 75-100% of it grown on our farm. We often source a few seasonal items from other local farms to be able to offer fruit and vegetable varieties that we don’t grow, such as potatoes, citrus, and avocados. We source from certified organic farms and ranches or those that we can ensure are using organic practices.

CSA member benefits

Flavor

Local tastes better. We grow, pick, wash, pack, and deliver our produce just for our members less than 24 hours of delivery. It’s fresher and higher quality than you can get at any grocery store.

Climate action

The further food has to travel, the more greenhouse gases are emitted into our atmosphere, contributing further to climate change. Reduce your carbon footprint by reducing the distance food travels and the packaging required by grocery stores.

Community

Building connection with your farmers and neighbors is easier when you’re a CSA member, especially when we host exclusive events for CSA Members on our farm, such as cooking demonstrations, and family strawberry gleanings.

Learn

Try new things, learn to eat with the seasons, and expand your knowledge of different fruit and vegetables grown in our watershed. Our CSA members receive recipes and best-practice tips on storing your produce.

Invest

Keep your hard-earned dollars circulating in your community and supporting small farms so we have a future with food together.

How many people does a box feed?

It is difficult to say how much one box feeds, as it depends on how much you cook at home, your preferences and more. But in general, our CSA members report that the Regular Share box can satisfy the vegetable desires of 4-6 people for 1 week, while a Small Share can satisfy the vegetable desires of 1-2 people for 1 week.

How much does it cost?

Our Regular Share boxes cost $40. Our Small Share boxes cost $25. We require a minimum commitment of 4 boxes. We apply discounts for longer subscriptions and autopay. We also accept EBT/SNAP benefits and offer sliding scale for our community members with financial limitations.

When and where do I pick up my box?

We offer weekly or bi-weekly (every other week) subscriptions, and deliver to multiple sites around Ventura County, you can choose to pick-up at the location most convenient for you. We also offer home delivery for $10/box.

Tuesday Deliveries: Camarillo, Thousand Oaks, Newbury Park, Westlake Village

Wednesday Deliveries: Fillmore, Oxnard, Ventura

We are always interested in expanding the reach of our produce! If you are interested in increasing accessibility to fresh produce to you and your community, you can become a CSA site host. To become a CSA host you must have a designated location and at least 5 members picking up at your location. CSA site hosts are eligible to 50% discount on their CSA box.

What if I go on vacation?

You can placed your box on hold at any time without being charged for the week. Just let us know by Friday morning (9:00 am) the week before delivery by either logging into your account or sending us an email csa@theabundanttable.org.

Do you offer options to customize the box contents?

Our CSA program offers you an opportunity to eat with the seasons and become more familiar with the food that grows in our local soils and climate at the moment the produce gets to your table. For this reason, our boxes are not customizable although we do try accommodate for food allergies.

Do you provide add-ons?

Currently we are not offering any add-ons, we try to use produce we are growing that is in season. We try to offer as much variety as we can! (:

What if I have more questions?
