We educate low-income youth and communities around the global food system, local food system, and family food system. In partnership with the Santa Paula School District (SPSD), we provide peer education and advocacy focused on building a healthier school food culture, promoting healthier school lunches and home meals, and working to support SPSD to provide meals that bolster the local food system. Educated and empowered youth become peer educators around food system change, equitable food access and healthy eating. Rooted Futures is generously supported through the Ventura Country Social Justice Fund.
